Experts say that solid color jewelry that matches completely is no longer cool. Today, small, bright, animated shapes can create a positive vibe for your look — which is trendy. Putting together smaller, unrelated pieces is a great way to show off your individuality.
Chokers
Several years ago, chokers, a popular accessory from the ’90s, returned. Trendy women wore leather, velvet, and plastic ones on their necks. But this trend disappeared just as quickly as it appeared. Today, chokers are back, but in a different way: fashion houses have added gems and expensive metals, and made multi-layer variations.

Now fashion houses like Vivienne Westwood, Christian Dior, Jacquemus, Oscar de la Renta, and Prada suggest that we forget about them altogether this season and replace them with something more tropical, like for example, big seashells.

Models from Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, Tibi, Pyer Moss, and Marc Jacobs have been wearing just one earring for several years now. But few of us have actually tried this in our everyday life. 2023 seems like a good year to add a little asymmetry to our appearance.

A couple of years ago, the trend of wearing coins appeared, but this season love beats money. Big, and sometimes even huge, hearts were shown on almost every model on the runways from Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, and Marc Jacobs.

Stars are being replaced with spheres Bottega Veneta, Kenzo, Oscar de la Renta, Balenciaga, Valentino, and Ann Demeulemeester presented different spheres made of metal, glass, and wood. The designers got inspired by planets, the globe, magic balls, and Christmas decorations, so much so that any one of us should be able to fine what we like.
A big pendant on a chain
Fashion houses like Zimmermann, Pyer Moss, Off-White, Alexander McQueen, and Vivienne Westwood claim that this season is not the time for thin chains with big pieces of jewelry on them. They are being replaced with massive chains.
Multi-layered bracelets
Designers like Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen, Brandon Maxwell, and Dolce & Gabbana decided to replace multi-layered bracelets with small purses. They suggest using these holders for IDs, cards, and maybe even glasses. This is a great solution because we never have enough pockets.
One ring
Today, it is not trendy to wear thin rings with small gems and it’s not trendy to have just one ring on your hand. More geometric-looking gems in different colors, like the ones sold by Brandon Maxwell, Fendi, and Alexander McQueen, deserve your attention.
Headbands
Thin headbands with rhinestones is a trend from the 2010s, but for some reason, you can still buy them in almost any accessory store. If you want to make your look more modern and trendy, try looking at Fendi models who wear leather or velvet headbands on the backs of their heads.
Gems
Indeed, diamonds will always be sought after by women, but today, their abundance as well as the abundance of other gems, is considered to be old-fashioned. Today many ladies prefer pearls. Combined necklaces, bracelets, and earrings with pearls adorn various collections from famous designers. Fashion experts suggest that we choose jewelry with irregularly shaped stones and not be afraid to combine pearls with other, more democratic fashion jewelry.
